About Values Partnerships Fellowship Program.

Now to begin, I want to let you know that the company, Values Partnerships, is said to be the “country’s largest Black-owned social impact agency”. The company develop creative engagement campaigns for diverse sectors and audiences, provide strategic advice on complex issues, and market and produce films and television programs with meaning and value. Oops, I just realized I used the word “AND” too much in the last sentence. Anyways, the point is that the company, Values Partnerships, help a range of companies, organizations and brands tackle tough challenges related to race and culture; form trust-based partnerships with community leaders; and launch campaigns that have an impact on our clients and the world around us.

Your Role.

Once you are selected for the Values Partnerships Fellowship Program, you will join a team of strategists, applying your skills to a range of administrative and substantive tasks for clients in the corporate, non-profit, faith, advocacy, and entertainment spaces. You will assist with drafting, editing, and preparing written content as well as performing various outreach and client follow-up tasks. Also bear in mind that you may be asked to complete other tasks as they arise. Also, you will be included in regular staff meetings and occasional client meetings. Now the good news is that your responsibilities and detailed projects will be determined based on your educational background, interest and skills. So you don’t have to worry 🙂

Eligibility

  • This fellowship is unfortunately for only individuals that are based in the United States.
  • You have to be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program and maintaining student status throughout the program; or you must have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree and are returning to education on a full-time basis upon completing the internship.
  • You must be able to commit to the full June-August program at Values Partnerships once you are selected for this internship. Additionally, you should be available to work at least four days a week for five hours a day.
  • Previous experience and/or interest in digital communications, social media, business consulting, advocacy, or community building preferred.
  • You must have access to a computer and internet connection
  • A mobile phone or landline that can be used during working hours.

Benefits.

  1. Fellows will be paid at the rate of $18 per hour.
  2. Fellows will be invited to attend a June staff retreat to thank them for their contributions
  3. Housing will not be provided as this fellowship is fully remote. It is preferred that applicants be located in the eastern time zone.
  4. Stipends will be remitted monthly on the 20th of each month
