RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Social Media Manager at Emerging Voices, one is expected to:
- Design and implement monthly social media outreach plans with the managing editor.
- Oversee social media creation, posting, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the website designer to optimize the site for marketing.
- Enhance SEO for the website.
- Strategically purchase and place ads on platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
- Conduct PR outreach with other publications, journalists, and organizations for interviews and collaborative work.
REQUIREMENTS
As a Social Media Manager at Emerging Voices is required to:
- Demonstrate experience in social media marketing; additional experience in marketing/PR is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and SEO optimization
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Good knowledge of current affairs and interest in Emerging Voices’ mission
